Quantum Science

Quantum mechanics or quantum physics is a branch of science dealing with physical phenomena on small length scales - such as atomic or subatomic length scales. Quantum mechanics can provide a mathematical description of the dual particle-like and wave-like behavior of matter.

In advanced topics of quantum mechanics, some of these behaviors are macroscopic and only emerge at extreme (i.e., very low or very high) energies or temperatures. The name quantum mechanics derives from the observation that some physical quantities can change only in discrete amounts, and not in a continuous way.

The quantum art pieces displayed here comprise the very cutting edge of science research - delving into that which is not understood, carving out new knowledge and revealing part of the quantum world never before seen.
